Pharmacy Benefit Manager

Pharmacy Benefit Manager is most often a third party administrator of prescription drug programs but sometimes can be a service inside of an integrated healthcare system. They are primarily responsible for processing and paying prescription drug claims. They also are responsible for developing and maintaining the formulary, contracting with pharmacies, and negotiating discounts and rebates with drug manufacturers.

Frequently Asked Questions
    A renewal notice will be sent to the Registered Agent at least one month prior to the expiration of the Pharmacy Benefit Manager registration. Return the signed notice to the Division along with the $100.00 filing fee.

    If any changes need to be made to the registration, please attach a new application with the current information to the renewal notice.
